For some families, producing just one son who becomes a professional footballer isn’t enough. Down the years there have been numerous occasions where sets of brothers have made it pro and showcased their talents to the world.
Perhaps it’s the competitive nature of competing with your brother that spurs them on. Perhaps just being in and around a footballing family from such a young age. But who are the most valuable pairs of brothers who are playing currently? Here at Transfermarkt, we’ve compiled the list of the top 30 most valuable pairs, and it makes for some fascinating reading. Many top players you may have not even have realised had a brother who is a footballer crop up on the list. Four pairs even accumulate a combined market value of over €100m.

Jude and Jobe Bellingham – combined market value – €189m: Jude Bellingham (Market value: €180m) has taken the footballing world by storm since his €103m move to Real Madrid last summer, scoring 20 goals in just 28 games in La Liga and he Champions League already this season. However, his less well-known brother Jobe Bellingham (Mv: €9m), two years Jude’s junior, is making some steady progress at Championship side Sunderland. Signed for €1.5m from Birmingham, he has six league goals from midfield this term.
2. Kylian and Ethan Mbappé – combined market value – €180.50m: The potentially longest transfer saga of all-time looks to be wrapped up this summer, with world superstar Kylian Mbappé (Mv: €180m) set to join Real Madrid from PSG. The forward is the all-time top scorer for the Parisians with 250 goals, but he will now be leaving behind his younger brother Ethan Mbappé (Mv: €500k). The 17-year-old midfielder made his senior debut this season in Ligue 1 in a 3-1 win against Metz – a game in which his older brother scored twice.
3. Theo and Lucas Hernández – combined market value – €105m: The first pair on the list who have both already made it to the top of the game. 28-year-old defender Lucas Hernandez (mv: €40m) is now back in his native France with PSG, having signed for Bayern Munich back in 2021 for a, at the time, club record fee of €80m. Whilst 26-year-old Theo Hernandez (Mv: €65m) has become one of the best left backs in the world with AC Milan over the last couple of seasons.
4. Marcus and Khéphren Thuram – combined market value – €100m: What a footballing family. Former defender Lilian Thuram remains France most capped player of all-time and now has two sons making their mark in the game. Marcus Thuram (€60m) has had a great start to life at Inter Milan following his move from Borussia Monchengladbach last summer. Inter are 14 points clear at the top of Serie A, and Thuram has 10 goals and 10 assist in the league. His younger brother Khéphren Thuram (Mv: €40m) is also having a steady season with Nice and made his debut fo France last year.
5. Leroy and Sidi Sané – combined market value – €80.35m: Everyone knows about Leroy Sané (Mv: €80m) and the impact he has had on the game. A two-time Premier League winner with Manchester City, Sané is now one of the best players in the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich. But many people won’t know his younger 20-year-old brother Sidi Sané (Mv: €350k) is also a professional with Bundesliga 2 side Braunschweig. Also a winger by trade, he was signed on a free transfer from Schalke last summer.
6. Luis and Jesùs Díaz – combined market value – €75.15m: Luis Díaz (Mv: €75m) has become one of the most feared wingers in the Premier League with title challengers Liverpool. Unable to add the fearsome numbers of his opposite winger Mohamed Salah when it comes to direct goals and assists yet, but constantly mazing defenders with his relentless dribbling skills. However, you may not have known he has a younger 19-year old brother playing back in Colombia by the name of Jesùs Díaz (Mv: €150k) playing for Barranquilla FC.
7. Alexis and Kevin Mac Allister – combined market value – €75m: Argentine World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister (Mv: €70m) has made a big impact at Anfield following his summer move from Brighton and has been used across various roles in Jürgen Klopp’s midfield throughout the season. He actually faced his younger brother Kevin Mac Allister (Mv: €5m) in this season’s Europa League when Liverpool faced Belgian outfit Union SG in the group stages. Kevin is a centre-half by trade and has been a regular in the Belgian league.
8. Nico and Iñaki Williams – combined market value – €75m: Two brothers who represent the same club but different nations. Iñaki Williams (Mv: €25m) has been a regular up front, scoring goals for the Bilbao based club for almost 10 seasons now, and back in 2022 decided to represent Ghana at international level. his younger brother Nico Williams (Mv: €50m) has become one of the brightest young wingers in Europe and has been linked with a move to the Premier League this summer.
9. Rasmus and Oscar Højlund – combined market value – €65.50m: Rasmus Højlund (Mv: €65m) really picked up his form for Manchester united around the turn of the year, scoring seven goals in six Premier League games. The Dane moved from Atalanta for €73.90m last summer. He also has a younger brother still plying in his trade in his native Denmark. 19-year-old midfielder Oscar Højlund (Mv: €500k) has played 10 league games for FC Copenhagen this season, and came on in both legs against Manchester City in the Champions League this term.
10. Jurrien & Quinten Timber – combined market value – €62m: The first twins on the list. Jurrien Timber (Mv: €40m) suffered heartbreak on his Arsenal debut, tearing his ACL back in August, but the Netherlands defender is back training again and in contention to play in the title showdown against Man City at the end of March. His twin Quinten Timber (Mv: €22m) is still playing in the Eredivisie with Feyenoord – a midfielder by trade, six goals and six assists in the Dutch top flight this season.
