7 Man Utd players in top 15

Liverpool’s comfortable 2-0 win over Brentford on Sunday afternoon was a landmark occasion for Arne Slot and Virgil van Dijk. It was Slot’s first competitive fixture at Anfield since replacing Jürgen Klopp as the Dutch boss made it two wins from two in the Premier League ahead of a trip to face Manchester United. 

Meanwhile, Van Dijk brought up his 100th Premier League home appearance for Liverpool as he celebrated another clean sheet. The 33-year-old was integral to Liverpool winning the Champions League and Premier League since joining from Southampton in 2018 and his record at Anfield in the Premier League is incredible. Van Dijk has only lost two league fixtures at Anfield and he’s amassed 262 points from a possible 300 in his 100 games at the iconic record. The player with the most Premier League points in first 100 home games

Only Patrice Evra has collected more Premier League points in his first 100 home games for one club than Van Dijk. The French left-back famously endured a nightmare Manchester United debut against away to Manchester City but he amassed 263 points from his first 100 league games for United at Old Trafford. While Evra lost seven games across those 100 games, Van Dijk only lost two, which is a record, but Liverpool drew 16 games. 

Former Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick ranks third after dropping just 39 points while Nemanja Vidic and Bernardo Silva share fourth spot, boasting an identical record with 260 points collected. Chelsea legend Didier Drogba lost the second fewest games (3) in his first 100 games at Stamford Bridge for Chelsea and he ranks sixth. Seven Manchester United players feature in the top 15 players as do brothers Kolo and Yaya Touré.
