The transfer market remains closed until January but clubs are still extremely busy behind the scenes as they plan for future arrivals. Players all around the world will return to their clubs after the international break ahead of a pivotal period of the season, both domestically and in European competition.

Managers will be constantly assessing their squads with sporting directors and recruitment staff scanning the market for potential deals in the upcoming market. A plethora of players will be unhappy with their lack of minutes with their agents aiming to secure them a move to ensure first-team football for the second half of the season. The rumour mill is beginning to pick up pace and we’ve collated some of the biggest current transfer stories.

Galatasaray have reportedly registered their interest in signing Heung-min Son from Tottenham. The South Korean’s contract expires next summer at the North London club and Galatasaray could approach him on a pre-contract from January.

According to reports in Spain, Manchester Untied will look to offer Antony as a makeweight in their attempts to sign Arda Güler. However these reports are incredibly unlikely given that Real Madrid don’t want to to sell Güler despite frustrations over his lack of minutes and Antony isn’t that desirable considering his immense struggles at Old Trafford.

Alexander Isak is reportedly Arsenal’s main attacking target as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his options up front. Newcastle are eyeing Dominic Calvert-Lewin or Jonathan David as potential replacements for the Swedish international. Florian Wirtz has interest from all the biggest clubs in Europe but the Bayer Leverkusen star prefers a move to Manchester City according to reports. City are also reportedly exploring a deal to sign RB Leipzig sensation Castello Lukeba – you can read our detailed profile on the Frenchman here.
