The transfer market remains closed until January but clubs are still extremely busy behind the scenes as they plan for future arrivals. Players all around the world have returned to their clubs after the international break for a pivotal period of the season, both domestically and in European competition.
Managers will be constantly assessing their squads with sporting directors and recruitment staff scanning the market for potential deals in the upcoming market. A plethora of players will be unhappy with their lack of minutes with their agents aiming to secure them a move to ensure first-team football for the second half of the season. Wing-backs seem to be the flavour of the month as we approach the January transfer window, with Manchester United and Chelsea on the look out for upgrades in that position. According to TeamTalk, both Premier League giants have narrowed in on Lecce’s 20-year-old Patrick Dorgu as a potential signing next month. The Danish talent has shown an impressive capacity to play on both wings and currently has a market value of €12 million, making him a potentially smart signing if either club can pick up the defender for a relatively small price.

Another young player that is attracting a lot of interest ahead of the new year is Motherwell midfielder Lennon Miller. The 18-year-old talent recently received a huge market value upgrade to €4m due to the interest shown in his talent. A new report from the Daily Mail backs up such claims, by stating that Brighton and Southampton have joined the race to sign the Scottish star, with Liverpool and Newcastle keeping tabs on his future availability.
With the future of Mohamed Salah at Liverpool still in doubt, rumours have taken flight over which player the Premier League giants could sign to replace their beloved Egyptian forward. According to Give Me Sport, the Anfield side remain intent on signing Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. However, reports in Spain continue to link Liverpool with a move for Germany and Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sané.
