The summer transfer window of this 2024/25 campaign was certainly a busy one. Clubs from Europe’s top-five leagues (Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A, Bundesliga & Ligue 1) spent a total of €5.25 billion on new signings in the summer window alone. The most expensive deal of that particular transfer period was Julián Alvarez’s €75 million move from Manchester City to Atlético Madrid, but which signings have hit the ground running at their new clubs this season?
It often takes plenty of time for players to adjust to new teams and sometimes even new leagues, with many of last summer’s arrivals yet to show their talent and prowess with their new clubs. Focusing on the attacking transfers, here at Transfermarkt, we have calculated which 24/25 summer signings to top-five league clubs have provided the most goal contributions (goals + assists) so far this season in their new colours. Surprisingly, despite Premier League clubs spending €2.33b last summer, only two players from the English top-flight appears in the top 30.
Which 24/25 summer signings have provided the most goal contributions?
Leading the way is Atalanta’s Mateo Retegui. The Italian striker signed from Genoa for €20.9m and has as many as 27 goal contributions in all competitions for the Bergamo side. In second place is Kylian Mbappé, with the Frenchman having provided 26 goal contributions for Real Madrid following his high-profile free transfer from PSG in the summer. Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy takes third spot, having provided 25 goal contributions since his summer move from Stuttgart; the Guinean is also the top scorer in the Champions League so far this season. Fourth place goes to Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitiké, who has 23 goal contributions for the German side after signing from PSG.

In joint-fifth place are Charles De Ketelaere and Michael Olise each with 22 goal contributions. De Ketelaere signed for Atalanta from AC Milan after the club exercised an option to buy following his loan spell last season, whilst Olise came from Bayern Munich from Crystal Palace. Moise Kean and Alvarez share seventh, each with 21 goal contributions since their summer moves to Fiorentina and Atlético Madrid respectively. Borussia Monchengladbach’s Tim Kleindienst takes ninth with 20 goal contributions. Completing the top 10 is Mason Greenwood with 18 goal contributions. Tottenham’s Dominic Solanke (11th) and Ipswich’s Liam Delap (joint 24th) are the only Premier League players in the top 30.
