Managers will be constantly assessing their squads with sporting directors and recruitment staff scanning the market for potential deals. A plethora of players will become available in the summer where clubs famously have more money to spend and aren’t as restricted by financial fair play rules. The rumour mill is beginning to pick up pace and we’ve collated some of the biggest current transfer stories.

Today’s biggest transfer stories

Alexander Isak would reportedly prefer a move to Liverpool over Barcelona this summer. Newcastle United are likely to field offers for the Sweden international, with his Transfermarkt valuation rising to €100m recently.

Kevin de Bruyne has held talks with San Diego over a potential move to the MLS this summer. The Manchester City icon’s minutes under Pep Guardiola this season have been significantly reduced and his contract expires at the end of the season.
