Cristiano Ronaldo has ended his trophy drought with Al-Nassr after they clinched the Saudi Pro League title. They were crowned league champions for the first time since 2019 after a 4-1 victory over Damac in the final day of the season. Karim Benzema’s Al-Hilal had a feint hope of pipping Al Nasr to the title but they finished two points behind Ronaldo’s side.

Incredibly, it represents Ronaldo’s first major trophy with Al-Nassr since heading to the Middle East in January 2023 after leaving Manchester United. The 41-year-old had experienced heartbreak in the Saudi Pro League and in several cup finals but he’s finally got his hands on silverware. Ronaldo has been the driving force with 26 goals in 29 appearances for Al-Nassr in the league and his attention will now switch to the World Cup with Portugal.

Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi career trophies

The Real Madrid is one of the most decorated players in history and he’s now won league titles in four countries; Saudi Arabia, Italy, England and Spain. The 41-year-old has also famously won five Champions Leagues across his illustrious career and the Saudi Pro League. As the graphic below, Ronaldo is still a considerable distance behind the most decorated player in history, Lionel Messi. His famous rival has amassed 45 trophies across his career, which is 11 more than Ronaldo.
