With the season concluded in Belgium, Transfermarkt has updated the market values of 451 Jupiler Pro League players. It is a historic update as at the very top there is a new record market value. With a €10m upgrade, Christos Tzolis from league champions Club Brugge saw his market value rise to €40m, the highest ever in the Jupiler Pro League.

Jupiler Pro League: All new market values at a glance

“Tzolis was the man of the play-offs at Club Brugge,” Area Manager Belgium, Bart Tamsyn, said. “With no fewer than 18 goals and assists in 10 matches against Belgium’s top clubs, he was phenomenal. He also raised the bar, enabling other players such as Joaquin Seys (+€3m to €20m), Aleksandar Stanković (+€7m to €32m) and Carlos Forbs (+€2m to €20m) to raise their game as well.”

Another player who stood out at Brugge is German striker Nicolò Tresoldi. “Tresoldi also really hit his stride in 2026,” Tamsyn said. “Having scored just five goals in his first 20 league matches, he netted 14 in the following 20 league matches and even became Belgium’s top scorer. Rumour has it that Club Brugge turned down a €30 million bid for him in January.” The performances were enough for German media to suggest that Tresoldi, who can also represent Italy, should be called up to the Germany squad for the World Cup. That didn’t happen, but at this rate, it is only a matter of time for Tresoldi, whose market value increased by €12m from €13m to €25m, to play at the senior level.

Jupiler Pro League market values: De Cat and Saliba up – Khalaili to break Union’s transfer record?

At runners-up Union Saint-Gilloise, Anan Khalaili stood out. “Union SG have been saying for weeks that if Khalaili leaves, he will become the cup winners’ most expensive outgoing transfer ever,” Tamsyn said about the Israeli midfielder whose market value rose by €5m from €18m to €23m. “That means the Brussels club are looking for more than €22.8 million for their winger. The Israeli has also been working on his stats; with four assists in the play-offs, only Tzolis did better.”

One of the rising stars in Belgian football remains Anderlecht’s Nathan de Cat. “De Cat is one of the few bright spots in what has been a disappointing season for Anderlecht,” Tamsyn said. “In March, he even made his debut for the Belgian national team, becoming the eighth-youngest international to do so. Although he didn’t make the World Cup squad, a summer transfer abroad looks likely. De Cat saw his market value increase by €2m from €25m to €27m. While De Cat still has to wait to make his World Cup debut, his teammate Nathan-Dylan Saliba will be at the tournament representing hosts Canada. “Saliba is likely to be one of the first names to appear on Anderlecht’s team sheet,” Tamsyn said. “You can see that the midfielder has what it takes to compete at the top level in Belgium, but the rest of the team will also need to show the necessary quality to achieve that goal. This season, he struggled a bit, as did the rest of the team. So it’s hard to talk of a major breakthrough; perhaps next season.”

Also headed to the World Cup but with Morocco is Genk’s Zakaria El Ouahdi. “Like De Cat at Anderlecht, Zakaria El Ouahdi is one of the few players who managed to bring some brightness to an otherwise disappointing season at KRC Genk,” Tamsyn said. “His tireless effort saw him, as a defender, rack up 12 goals and 6 assists this season. It even earned him a place in Morocco’s World Cup squad.” The right-back saw his market value improve by €2m from €15m to €17m, and a good World Cup run could see that evaluation rise even further.

How Transfermarkt market values work

The Transfermarkt market values are calculated, taking into account various pricing models. A major factor is the Transfermarkt community, whose members discuss and evaluate player market values in detail. In general, the Transfermarkt market values are not to be equated with transfer fees.

The goal is not to predict a price but an expected value of a player in a free market. Both individual transfer modalities and situational conditions are relevant in determining market values. Examples of this are listed below. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (you can find the detailed market value definition here).
