Michael Olise 4th, Declan Rice 7th, Julian Alvarez 10th - the most valuable players in the World Cup semi-finals

The World Cup has now reached boiling point. Just four footballing giants remain. For the first time ever, the four highest FIFA ranked teams all take up the World Cup semi-final spots. France (1st) face Spain (4th) this Tuesday, whilst Argentina (2nd) take on England (3rd) on Wednesday evening. Given the international pedigree of these four nations, many of the game’s global superstars remain within a fighting chance of lifting the famous trophy in New York on Sunday. But who are the most valuable players remaining at the tournament? Let’s find out. The full list of players can be scrolled through on the gallery below.

Most valuable players in World Cup semi-finals

Leading the way is Spain and Barcelona teenage sensation Lamine Yamal. He hasn’t looked his frightening best so far at this tournament, but the 18 year old has a market value of €200 million and is still the true star in this Spain team. In second place is France hero Kylian Mbappé. The 27 year old has looked back to his very best this summer – currently in the joint-lead for the Golden Boot with eight goals – and has a market value of €180m. Third goes to Spain’s Pedri whilst fourth is Mbappé’s France teammate Michael Olise – both of those players have a current value of €150m.

England’s Jude Bellingham is fifth with a €130m value. France’s Désiré Doué takes sixth with a €120m valuation, by following by his senior midfielder Declan Rice, of England, who is also worth €120m. Bukayo Saka (€110m), William Saliba (€100m) and Julián Alvarez (€100m) complete the top 10. There was also be a World Cup market value update on July 22, meaning some of these player’s values may be set to change.
