The January transfer window is now open and the rumours continue to circulate as clubs plan out moves. Teams are working tirelessly behind the scenes on identifying targets and figuring out their budgets.
Managers will be constantly assessing their squads with sporting directors and recruitment staff scanning the market for potential deals. The rumour mill is still gathering pace and we’ve collated some of the biggest current transfer stories.
Today’s biggest transfer stories
Liverpool are reportedly set to sign Club Brugge’s Ecuadorian defender Joel Ordôñez in January for a fee of up to €49 million. The 21 year old has a current market value of €28m.
Some reports suggest that Roma are keen to re-sign Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah but are unlikely to make a move until the summer for the 33 year old.
The Hammers themselves are also reportedly interested in out of favour Chelsea and England winger Raheem Sterling, who has been part of the Blues ‘bomb squad’ and hasn’t played this season.
