The countdown is on. Come December 16, Transfermarkt will carry out the latest market value update in the Premier League. Before that, this is your chance to get involved! Who needs to be upgraded and why? Which players are valued too high and who could be in for a downgrade?

Cole Palmer shocked the footballing world last season. After trading Manchester City for Chelsea in a €47 million deal, he set the Premier League alight, scoring 22 goals and providing 11 assists in his debut season at Stamford Bridge. He’s now proving that he is no one season wonder. He scored in the final of Euro 2024 for England, and already has seven goals and five assists in Chelsea’s first 13 games this term. When he first moved to West London, Palmer’s market value stood at just €18m, having only made three Premier League starts in three seasons for Man City. It had risen to €55m by March, and he finished the season with a market value of €80m. In our last update, his market value rose to an impressive €90m. But is it now time for the Chelsea star to break the €100m barrier?
The surprise package of this season’s Premier League have undoubtedly been Liverpool, with just one defeat in their first 11 league games to date propelling them into first place in the league table. To great surprise, new manager Arne Slot has improved on his predecessor’s record at Anfield and at the heart of that remarkable revolution at Liverpool is none other than central midfielder Curtis Jones. The 23-year-old talent already has four goals and assists to his name in all competitions and seems to be one of Slot’s most trusted midfielders. But having seen his market value stagnate at €35m last year, could this be the season that we finally see the England international take the next step in his career?
In stark contrast, one Premier League star that could see his market value decline in the forthcoming update is Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford. With just four goals and three assists in 18 games for the Red Devils this season, the former England international seems to be having another tough season at old Trafford. Over the course of the last 12 months, Rashford’s market value has dropped by €20m and now stands at its lowest level since November 2022. But could that figure be set to drop even further in the next market value update?

Ahead of the update on December 16, the Transfermarkt market value analysis is already discussing whether the market values of these players – and all other Premier League professionals – need to be adjusted in the latest update. In addition to the Premier League, the market value update for the 24 clubs in the Championship will be on December 5.
