The transfer market remains closed until January but clubs are still extremely busy behind the scenes as they plan for future arrivals. There’s now less than one month until the winter window opens and clubs are already working tirelessly behind the scenes on identifying targets to sign or loan.
Managers will be constantly assessing their squads with sporting directors and recruitment staff scanning the market for potential deals in the upcoming market. A plethora of players will be unhappy with their lack of minutes with their agents aiming to secure them a move to ensure first-team football for the second half of the season. The rumour mill is beginning to pick up pace and we’ve collated some of the biggest current transfer stories.
Today’s biggest transfer stories
Erling Haaland wants a release clause of just €100 million inserted in his contract if he’s to pen a new deal at Manchester City, according to reports in Spain. The Norwegian striker’s deal only runs until 2027 and every major European clubs would be interested in signing him at that price – including Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović has interested from English Premier League giants Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United with the Serbian locked in contract talks with the Italian side. Meanwhile, Aston Villa remain potential suitors for Kenan Yildiz with the Turkish forward in excellent form for Juve.
Endrick’s game time has been limited this season at Real Madrid but the Brazilian striker will reportedly remain in January to fight for his place. Victor Osimhen has been linked with a move to Man United from reports in Italy, while Chelsea have reportedly make Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall available for transfer just six months after joining with Aston Villa interested.
