The transfer market remains closed until January but clubs are still extremely busy behind the scenes as they plan for future arrivals. There’s now less than one month until the winter window opens and clubs are already working tirelessly behind the scenes on identifying targets to sign or loan.
Managers will be constantly assessing their squads with sporting directors and recruitment staff scanning the market for potential deals in the upcoming market. A plethora of players will be unhappy with their lack of minutes with their agents aiming to secure them a move to ensure first-team football for the second half of the season. The rumour mill is beginning to pick up pace and we’ve collated some of the biggest current transfer stories.

According to reports in Spain, Cole Palmer is attracting serious interest from Real Madrid. The English international has been a sensation since moving to Chelsea from Manchester City and the Spanish giants reportedly view Palmer as a future priority target.
Bayer Leverkusen are monitoring Arda Güler’s situation at Real Madrid with the Turkish international struggling for regular minutes. Madrid are interested in Florian Wirtz and Guler could be used as a potential makeweight in any potential deal next summer.
AC Milan will allow club captain Theo Hernández to leave if a club stumps up €50m with Manchester United eyeing a new left-back. Meanwhile, West Ham will step up their interest in Evan Ferguson in January with Brighton willing to allow the Irish striker to leave on-loan. Lastly, Liverpool are emerging as one of the main suitors to sign Motherwell teenage sensation Lennon Miller.
