It’s transfer deadline day as clubs across Europe looking to get deals over the line to enhance their squads for the second half of the season. Teams are working tirelessly behind the scenes on identifying targets to sign or loan.
Managers will be constantly assessing their squads with sporting directors and recruitment staff scanning the market for potential deals in the market. Negotiations between Manchester United and Bayern Munich over Mathys Tel have collapsed, according to Sky Germany. The English club were keen on a loan deal for Tel but Bayern wanted an obligation to buy clause included. And in a dramatic turnaround, Tel is on his way to join Tottenham after previously turning down a move earlier in the window.
