The Eredivisie sits just outside the top five leagues but it’s been a conveyor belt for talent across the last few decades. Four players have departed the Dutch top flight for over €50 million in the leagues history with two of those moving to Manchester United in the last three seasons – Antony and Matthijs de Ligt.

Antony’s €95m move to Old Trafford in 2022 remains the Eredivisie’s record sale with Frenkie de Jong’s €86m move to Barcelona ranking second. European clubs routinely scour the Eredivisie in search of talented youngsters with the aim of securing a bargain deal. Ajax, Feyenoord and PSV have produced an abundance of talented youngsters across recent seasons but who are the most valuable U21 players currently in the Dutch top-flight? Let’s find out.
The most valuable U21 Eredivisie players
Despite receiving a €5m downgrade in the update, Johan Bakayoko remains the most valuable U21 in the Netherlands. The winger has ten goals in 39 appearances this season, including a crucial goal in a 3-2 win against Liverpool in the Champions League. Jorrel Hato ranks second with the Ajax prodigy famously captaining the Dutch giants at just 18 years old. The versatile defender has been linked with big money moves to Liverpool and Arsenal.

Antoni Milambo is making waves in the Eredivisie with his eye-catching midfield performances for Feyenoord and it’s only a matter of time before he earns a big move. Givario Read has undoubtedly been the breakthrough star of the season with the right-back’s valuation soaring by €8m to €12m. Completing the top five is Read’s teammate Ibrahim Osman but the winger received a €4m downgrade after providing just five goal contributions in 26 games.
