The January transfer window is now little more than a distant memory in European football and as such clubs across the continent are already making plans for the summer window. Teams are working tirelessly behind the scenes on identifying targets and figuring out their budgets.

Managers will be constantly assessing their squads with sporting directors and recruitment staff scanning the market for potential deals. A plethora of players will become available in the summer where clubs famously have more money to spend and aren’t as restricted by financial fair play rules. The rumour mill is beginning to pick up pace and we’ve collated some of the biggest current transfer stories.

Today’s biggest transfer stories

Manchester United are reportedly nearing an agreement to sign Matheus Cunha. The Brazilian attacker has enjoyed an excellent season with Wolves but his release clause this summer stands at €73 million. Several clubs are interested in the 25-year-old but United are understood to be the front runners.

Enzo Fernandez remains of interest to Real Madrid this summer. The Chelsea midfielder has been linked fairly regularly with a move to the Spanish capital this summer but it would take a substantial bid for Chelsea to entertain a sale.

Dušan Vlahović has several English Premier League clubs monitoring his situation with the striker expected to depart Juventus this summer. Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle United are considering a move this summer, according to reports in Italy.
