The summer transfer window is officially open with clubs now able to add new signings to their squad. The biggest clubs in European football and clubs across the continent are already making plans for next season. Teams are working tirelessly behind the scenes on identifying targets and figuring out their budgets.
Managers will be constantly assessing their squads with sporting directors and recruitment staff scanning the market for potential deals. A plethora of players will become available in the summer where clubs famously have more money to spend and aren’t as restricted by financial fair play rules. The rumour mill is beginning to pick up pace and we’ve collated some of the biggest current transfer stories.

William Saliba is reportedly ‘dreaming’ of a move to Real Madrid, according to reports in his native France. The centre-back’s contract at Arsenal runs until 2027 and he’s been offered a new deal by the North London club. But it remains unclear whether Saliba will commit his long-term future to Mikel Arteta’s men with Madrid know admirers.
AC Milan want to sign Dušan Vlahović this summer from Juventus. The striker has been locked in talks over cancelling his contract with Juve, according to reports in Italy, with his deal to expire next season. But there’s a sticking point over finances with AC only willing to offer half what he’s currently paid by Juve.
Bayern Munich have held talks with Christopher Nkunku’s representatives over a possible return to the Bundesliga. The French international has struggled for regular minutes at Chelsea and they will entertain offers of around €50m.
